Yungblud sports cast after Sturgis Bike Rally crash

Yungblud has revealed a huge leg cast and crutches on Instagram after reportedly fracturing his leg in a motorcycle accident in Michigan.

The 29-year-old British musician, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, was involved in a crash at the Sturgis Bike Rally earlier this month, according to The Sun.

Instead of seeking emergency treatment following the crash, he performed a 10-song set in agony before heading to the hospital.

On Sunday, the rocker posted an Instagram photograph of himself sporting a large bandage from the top of his thigh down to his foot while posing with a pair of crutches.

He insisted the broken leg will not stop him from continuing his summer gigs, confirming he will be back on stage in Portugal on Monday before headlining Belgium's Pukkelpop festival on Friday.

But following the crash instead of seeking emergency treatment, Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, performed his ten-song set in 'agony' before heading to hospital

"Leg f***ed, still giggin," he wrote on Instagram. "Still standin' (sort of). Portugal and Belgium, I'm comin' and it's gonna be f***ing mad."

The Daily Mail has contacted Yungblud's representatives for comment.

And it seems the broken leg isn't stopping the rocker from continuing his gigs this summer as he insisted he will be back on stage in Portugal and Belgium this week

Festival cancellation

The injury comes after Yungblud pulled out of the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, Canada, just days after breaking down on stage in Czechia. He cancelled his scheduled July 12 set to prioritise his wellbeing.

"To all my family in Canada, I apologise for not being there with you all this weekend. I'm currently in a place where I'm working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK," he said in a statement.

"I'm taking this extremely seriously and facing head on what's going on for the good of the long term. I will never take any of this for granted and I will see you all soon. I love you all."

Stage breakdown

Yungblud recently broke down on stage during his performance at Bludfest at Park 360 in Czechia. He stopped the show last month to tell fans he had been struggling with overwhelming feelings of disconnection and pain.

"Lately, I have felt so disconnected from everything," he told the crowd. "I have been trying my best to wake up every day. I have felt in pain a lot and I don't know why for a long time."

The star admitted that seeing his fans' faces is one of the few things that makes him feel safe from the outside world.

"Every time I find your faces, every time I find your eyes, every time I look at you, I know that I belong somewhere," he continued. "And to feel safe from the outside world is something that I can never thank you enough for."

He then promised fans he would stand by them during their own difficult moments.

"All I wanna say is that this is for your family," he said. "If you are ever scared, if you are ever frightened, if you are ever threatened, we will be there. I will f****** be there for you."

Instagram explanation

After the show, he shared a video of his mid-concert breakdown on Instagram alongside a lengthy caption explaining his decision to post the clip.

"Warning. Truth incoming. Please read the full caption," he wrote. "Honestly, I've been debating whether or not I should post this clip because I don't want it to feel disingenuous like I'm doing it for a reason like clicks or personal game but at the end of the day this is what happened and it's genuine so I thought f*** it."

"To be truthful. Recently, I've been really struggling and this moment is a byproduct of my body releasing the wave of emotion that has hit me in the past year that I've been unable to process."

"I'm not gonna lie to you when I got off this stage I felt elated but 20 minutes later when I was in the shower on my own I had a breakdown," he continued.

He added that being an artist today is strange because everything moves so quickly.

"You never get to sit in what happens for more than a couple hours therefore you fail to navigate or process anything you feel both good or bad at all," he said. "In the past 10 years I've been on a million different journeys tried a million different sounds trying to figure out who I am or what I can mean to the world everyday whilst the world shouts back."

"The amount of hate and disbelief around me from strangers on the Internet or bitter musicians really weighs on my heart as all I've been trying to do for the past 10 years is spread love, build something I believe in and unify people in a safe space."

"I should really say nothing about this because it would makes me seem cooler and like it isn't affecting me but deep down but I don't think that's who I am or why we all connect to each other."
