Why balayazh is out of fashion – and what coloring came to replace it

Peace of mind: In general, balayage and other complex coloring techniques are always in demand. And yet, full-fledged hair coloring is a thing of the past – and here’s why.

Complex hair coloring with many shades, highlights and a play of shades on the strands has reduced the demand for monochromatic coloring to almost nothing. Thanks to shatush, balayage, air-touch and other techniques, you can dye your hair much less often – but at the same time look fresh, neat and emphasize the highlights of your appearance.

However, in recent years, these technologies are beginning to change noticeably. Much more often, girls do not dye the entire mass of hair, but only strands near the face or half of the total mass of curls. After all, it’s much faster and cheaper – and the effect is still amazing.

Although balayazh is considered a gentle coloring technique, the damage caused by discoloration cannot be avoided. That is why masters recommend choosing relief coloring. Judging by this, this is a balayage subspecies – but with it the main work is done with very thin strands.

As a result, there is not so much clean bleached hair in the total mass – but since light tones prevail over dark tones, coloring is no worse than classic balayage.

The main difficulty with relief coloring is the need to correctly place accents. Light strands should be harmoniously distributed in the hair, and especially near the face. Yet the main secret of the technique lies precisely in the simulation of a strong change in hair color. And it’s real art!
