What vitamins can not be taken if you are going to do Botox

Fresh Botox doesn’t “rise” as it should? Check if you are taking these vitamins!

After botulinum therapy, cosmetologists remind us of a number of prohibitions. In the first days after injections, you cannot go to public baths, take a hot bath, play sports, sleep face down in a pillow, etc. All this is designed to help us consolidate the effect of the procedure: ideally, it lasts from six months to nine months. If you do not follow the recommendations, the expected result may not even work at all!

To avoid this, always follow the recommendations of a specialist. And one of them will be the end of the course of taking vitamins of group B. If it cannot be interrupted, be sure to consult a cosmetologist and warn him about all the medications you are taking.

Why not drink these trace elements and inject Botox? The fact is that a high concentration of B vitamins speeds up the metabolism. Because of this, botulinum toxin will be eliminated from the body much faster, and you will not get the desired result.

How it works? Botulinum toxin prevents the release of acetylcholine (one of the neurotransmitters) in the nerve endings, while B vitamins, on the contrary, stimulate it.

However, for the sake of objectivity, let’s say: some studies have not proven the link between vitamins and Botox. But, as you will have understood, this area has not yet been fully studied, we can only take care of ourselves and preserve the result. And sometimes playing it safe is the best option available.
