The hair salt spray will give the same effect. “It will add texture and volume to any hair,” says Madison. Dufour advises using the product alongside moisturizing conditioners and leave-in hair oils, or you risk drying out the curls.

Use a volumizing shampoo

They work in different ways: Dufour prefers those that intensely cleanse the hair and skin, creating basal volume – their hairdresser suggests using them with smoothing oils. There are other types of shampoos that help achieve the desired effect: sealing shampoos contain proteins that envelop each hair, while texturizing with starch or clay helps achieve more defined locks .
