Everyone happy with the return of the actor to his iconic role, except the one who lives it more closely.
Hugh Jackman has done a ton of movies that require his physique to be in peak condition. But the role of Wolverine, and his return in Deadpool 3, is special for many reasons, not just because the character must be very muscular. Everyone is delighted, he is delighted… Except for one great little question: what his wife thinks of him.
We all know that Hugh Jackman will reprise the role in the third Deadpool movie, starring Ryan Reynolds. Shawn Levy, who captained “Free Guy” and “The Adam Project” with Reynolds and insisted on Jackman’s return as Wolverine for his films, is directing “Deadpool 3,” which will officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the purchase of 20th Century Fox by Disney. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two “Deadpool” movies, are returning to write the third. Although his character died in “Logan,” Wolverine’s third standalone film, Jackman said the next “Deadpool” movie takes place before his death and the timeline won’t be affected. Jackman also told Wallace that he will spend six months training exclusively for him to return as Wolverine in top form.
And everyone applauds him, except in his own house. He sees that he has worked day and night to fit the role as accurately as possible, which has made him a fan favorite. When the public thinks of Wolverine, there is no doubt that Hugh Jackman’s name was always the first to come up. He has made the character iconic and has even made others want to imitate his training.
It is clear that Hugh Jackman has worked very hard to achieve the ideal physique for Wolverine, but not everything is hunky-dory. Jackman revealed that his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, gets very upset whenever she works to get her Wolverine physique. “She gets really upset. She says a husband’s job is to be fat and flabby and make me look fabulous, and I’m not keeping my end of the bargain.”
His argument is valid up to a point, because aside from the fact that he may have a bit of a macho whiff, it’s clear who’s the star and who’s the flashlighter on red carpets, right? Even so, we take it with humor, which apart from what is literal, is the feeling that the comment leaves me…
