Kiko Rivera, the son of Isabel Pantoja, has been staying out of the media spotlight while recovering from his second stroke, but he has still been spotted enjoying a getaway with his girlfriend, Lola García, in Isla Cristina, Huelva. The couple stayed at an exclusive hotel costing 500 euros a night, ate at some of the area's best restaurants and spent time on a private beach.
Rivera and García began their relationship only a few months ago. Both have avoided making statements to reporters and have asked for privacy, even as journalists continue trying to get information from those close to them. Much attention this summer has gone to the mothers of Rivera's children, who have responded to attacks made against them in the media.
Lola García's brother speaks
Lola García is the youngest of five siblings, none of whom have sought the media spotlight. Diana Higueras, a reporter for Telecinco's De lunes a viernes, managed to speak briefly with one of García's brothers to get his opinion on the relationship that has thrust the dancer into the spotlight.
Higueras said she was struck by how willing the brother seemed to talk, describing him as an extremely kind and exceptional person. She said he told her he would like to speak out and defend his sister publicly, but that he cannot.
According to Higueras, the brother explained that the family does not want to get involved, describing them as a very close-knit family who are happy about García's relationship with Rivera. He also said the family are fans of the Pantoja family, adding that he personally admires Agustín Pantoja.
The brother also denied reports linking García to Omar Montes, telling Higueras that much of what had been revealed on the program was untrue.
Higueras said the brother made clear he did not want to speak on camera, not because he was unwilling, since he had been friendly and open with her privately, but because García would not allow it. According to the reporter, he said García would get angry if he appeared on television, even if he were only speaking well of her and defending her.
