Research carried out by Preply also reveals who are the musicians and bands that evoke the most joy in the public
Music awakens all types of emotions, from anger and love to sadness and happiness. From the beat to the energy of the lyrics, a song can help you communicate when there are no words to express it.
With this in mind, the language platform Preply analyzed more than 200,000 popular posts and comments from 92 artists and bands across Reddit communities to find out how artists make their fans feel.
According to the survey, the band Panic! At the Disco is the one that makes fans saddest in the world, followed by musical groups LinkinPark It is Metallica, respectively. “One of the reasons is that their songs evoke feelings of regret and the lyrics discuss melancholy moments that everyone can relate to, like a chapter in life coming to an end,” says Sylvia Johnson, Director of Methodology at Preply.
At the other extreme, Ed Sheeran He is the singer who makes his fans most happy. Soon after, there is the Irish band U2 and the South Korean group BLACKPINK, respectively. One of the possible reasons, according to the language platform, is the trio’s lively singing, in addition to the use of metaphors that can help fans connect with happy and carefree moments in life.
