The musician performed at a festival in Romania this weekend
Wiz Khalifa was charged with illegal possession of drugs on Sunday morning, the 14th, after appearing at the Beach, Please!a festival in Costinești, Romania. Videos posted on social media show the rapper being escorted out of the event by authorities.
Marijuana is considered a “risky drug” in the country, and possession can result in up to 10 years in prison.

“During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to be in possession of more than 18 grams of cannabis and consumed (on stage) another amount in the form of a hand-rolled cigarette,” prosecutors from the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Directorate confirmed in a statement.
A source close to the case informed AFP what Wiz Khalifa was not arrested, but was taken in for questioning. An investigation into the artist is ongoing.
