Passenger I think the title of the work teaches, right?! That we really don’t have to get attached, things pass.” It’s like this, as a learning experience, that Caio summarizes his debut album. Released in the second half of 2023, Passageiro is now one year old. And it is to celebrate the milestone that the singer from Minas Gerais is now using a manifesto video, in which he celebrates the passage of time.

Directed by Bruno Ruby and with cinematography by Caio Humbthe video was filmed in Maricain Rio de Janeiro. In it, Caio rescues his Afro-indigenous ancestry and revisits the main theme of the album and the song, placing humanity as the materialization of time.

The manifesto video of “Passenger” he has Anderson Polim, Mrs. Lydia and Sun in the cast, in addition to Caio himself, who also directs and narrates the play. Check it out below:

THE Rolling Stone Brazil [veja a entrevista abaixo]Caio said that Passengerthe album, came to him as a healing process, amidst doubts and uncertainties that coincided with the period of the covid-19 pandemic.

“I questioned whether it made sense to continue in music, I kept revisiting my entire trajectory, and then songs started to emerge, right?! So Passageiro emerged as a logbook of what I was feeling, but also as a summary of my experiences up until that point.”

Caio says that, for him, the album arrived in a period of transition, “the result of much waiting”, in which he places himself as an observer, but also as an agent of time, overcoming the fear of contradicting himself.

“He made me, mainly, look and not take so long when something no longer makes sense. So we sometimes have something of social convention of forcing ourselves to continue in certain relationships, or even the way we see ourselves: ‘oh no, so I proposed to do this, now I have to continue doing this so that I am not contradictory’, but that is not it.”
