Adaptations can be hit and miss in any genre and like a huge fan of Jeff Lemire’s dark and complex comic series Greedy – greedy – greedy I admit I’m concerned about Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey’s live-action footage on Netflix. But then director / showrunner Jim Mickle and the rest of the amazing creative team threw him out of the park and Christian Convery Gus is adorbalorbs (necessarily) and we need Season 2 as soon as possible! But for now, the lighthearted and slightly provocative casting video below will have to do the trick.

In any case, given the narrative parameters of Greedy – greedy – greedyWith post-apocalyptic settings, the show is no small feat, so it’s understandable that it takes some time to film things, and that Season 2 didn’t come six weeks after Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. (Despite this logic, I still prefer to blame Neil Sandilands’ Abbot General for making things take longer than necessary, as this guy is good at destroying good things and / or hope.) Fans no doubt could. live indirectly through the cast. and the team in their jubilation that season 2 was one step closer to reaching their audience.
Sandilands appeared in the video to say that fans “want to taste it,” but if he’s talking about things from a nuanced perspective, that probably means it’s the hybrid apocalypse. Which, to be fair, was already implicit when the story closed its first live-action chapter.
I know all about Greedy – greedy – greedyThe promotional campaign for leans on behind-the-scenes fun, as it makes the show and the relationships between its characters even more poignant. The producers warned the cast that Netflix had renewed the series for a second season send everyone chocolate bars with the message written on the candy. Easily the best way to send any kind of message, so if Netflix wants to send one out to everyone who’s seen the first season to let us know when to expect more, I’d really love it. (I know Gus or Wendy would have laughed at this, I just know.)
